The controller responsible for processing personal data on this website under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is: Damian Paderta, contact: contact@nozilla.de. This app runs entirely in your browser: your learning progress, your diagnosis details, your training plan and your settings are stored locally on your device only (localStorage) and are never transmitted to the operator or to any server.

This website is hosted by netcup GmbH, Emmy-Noether-Straße 10, 76131 Karlsruhe, Germany. For technical reasons, netcup processes server log files when the site is accessed, including IP address, date and time of access, the page requested, the amount of data transferred and the browser used. This serves the secure and stable operation of the website (legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, legitimate interest); the log files are deleted automatically after a short time. A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with netcup.

All app data — skill level, chosen goals, completed modules, training plan, saved list, language setting — is stored exclusively in your browser's localStorage and never leaves your device. This storage is technically necessary for the app to function (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG) and is therefore permitted without separate consent. You can fully reset the stored state at any time via the Profile view; clearing it through your browser settings removes all data as well.

For offline use, the app uses a service worker to cache static program files (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, images) in your browser. No personal data is processed in doing so.

Only if you activate feedback mode — via the button under 'Contribute' or a link containing ?feedback — does the app load an additional tool that lets you leave notes on individual pages. Your notes are kept only in your browser's memory for the duration of the session and are discarded when the page is closed. You decide whether to download them as a file (never leaves your device) or send them by email; in the latter case, your own email program opens with a pre-filled message to contact@nozilla.de, which you send yourself (legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, consent through active use).

For anonymous, aggregate traffic statistics, this website uses the analytics service GoatCounter, operated via https://crossminton-handbook.goatcounter.com. When you visit a page, the path, referrer, page title and screen width are sent to this service; no cookies are set and no persistent, cross-device identifier is created. According to the provider, the IP address is not stored permanently, but is used only briefly to derive the country of origin and to recognise repeat visits. If your browser has "Do Not Track" enabled, no count is recorded at all. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in privacy-friendly, anonymous usage statistics without profiling). Beyond this, the website uses no cookies for advertising purposes, no cross-site tracking and no advertising services; fonts, too, are served locally instead of being loaded from external providers such as Google Fonts.

Some pages link to external resources, such as the source code on GitHub or the license texts mentioned. Only the respective external site's own privacy policy applies there; this website has no influence over it.

Under the GDPR you have the right to access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21); simply contact the address given above. You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority at any time.
