openAt expert level, centimeters decide. A ball to the middle of the court is easy to reach; a ball to the outermost line is not. The expert deliberately plays to the edges — with the smallest safety margin and the maximum payoff.
The gain of tight placement is large. The closer you play to the line, the farther the opponent has to run and the less time they have. A ball that falls exactly into the corner is often unreachable. That's why you now aim at the corners and lines, instead of at the whole court.
The price is the risk. The tighter you aim, the greater the danger that the ball goes out. The expert's art is the deliberate weighing: at which moment is the tight target worth it, and when does the safe ball suffice? With a clear advantage you play tight and end the point; under pressure or in a tight set you take a little margin instead of risking the error.
This precision only comes from many repetitions. You train the eye and the hand to bring the Speeder ever closer to the target without losing control.
Precision to the lines is like threading a thread through the eye of a needle. Millimeters off, and it doesn't work — but whoever hits it wins the point. The expert knows when the needle's eye is worth it and when the safe way is smarter.
Tight placement and safety don't exclude each other; they are a choice you make in every moment.

Goal
Place the Speeder deliberately on lines and in corners and weigh the risk consciously.
How to do it
- Lay out target markers in the corners and just on the lines of the opposing court.
- Play clears and drop shots deliberately at these edge targets, instead of into the middle of the court.
- Count your hits and watch how often you go out.
- Deliberately practice both decisions: the tight target with a clear advantage, the safe target under pressure.
- Reduce the margin only once you hit the edges reliably.

Do you hit the edge targets reliably, or does too much go out? Do you choose the tight target at the right moment — yes with an advantage, safer under pressure? Precision means hitting the right target at the right moment — not always seeking the tightest one.
